Tyson Orth was born and raised in the Central West of New South Wales in a small country town, before relocating to the East Coast in search of greater opportunities. After settling into the region’s workforce, Tyson completed his Electrotechnology studies and training, becoming a qualified electrician with a commercial-focused electrical contracting company.
Working his way up through the ranks, Tyson quickly became the company’s leading hand, managing service, installation, and repair projects across the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. From overseeing large-scale underground developments and multiplex projects to handling preventative maintenance and complex fault diagnostics, Tyson rapidly developed broad expertise across the field. His experience expanded into areas such as project management, estimations, budgeting, scheduling, and a deep understanding of the electrical contracting landscape.
After 13 years in essential trade services, Tyson than started his side business work day by electrical and night via entertainment in the poker industry. Tyson than pivoted full-time into the entertainment sector, growing a local card game business into a multi-region enterprise. Spanning from the South Coast of NSW to Newcastle of NSW, he hosted weekly events in over 20 locations, establishing the business as the largest operator of its kind on the South Coast during a five-year period — even while navigating the challenges of the COVID-19 lockdowns. Through this journey, Tyson discovered that the foundations of success remain consistent across industries.
